Rotarians Gear Up For Singapore Convention In 2024

After imagining the future of Rotary in Melbourne, Australia, members and speakers at the 2023 Rotary International Convention looked ahead to next year’s gathering in Singapore and being able to share hope with the world by focusing on mental health and well-being.

“Singapore is a city that embodies the spirit of service and giving back to the community,” said Jennifer Scott, chair of the 2024 International Convention Committee. “This city-state is a hub of culture, cuisine, and innovation, and is renowned for its architecture, natural beauty, and bustling nightlife. There is something for everyone in Singapore.”

The convention committee is mandated by the Rotary International By laws to assist the 2023-24 President in planning the 2024 Convention to stimulate, inspire, and inform all Rotarians at an international level, as well as serve as a forum for advancing the strategic goals of Rotary International in accordance with its policies governing conventions. 

Jennifer A. Scott, Rotary Club of Central Blue Mountains, N.S.W., Australia is the chair of the convention committee while the Vice Chair is Jeffry Cadorette, Rotary Club of Media, Pennsylvania, USA.

Members of the committee are Ghim Bok Chew of the Rotary Club of Bugis Junction in Singapore, Kathryn R. Fahy from Rotary Club of Iowa Great Lakes, Iowa in the USA, Jan Mittelstaedt of the Rotary Club of Konstanz-Mainau in Germany and Estela Luisa Werner de Torroba from the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa Norte in Argentina.
