Rotary Family Adds Two More Clubs in District 9212

The Rotary Club of Juja held its charter party at the end of April, while the Rotary Club of Generate had its charter ceremony on June 23, exactly one week to the end of the Rotary year. The tally of clubs in Rotary District 9212 is now 138.

The Rotary Club of Juja is passionate about the environment and has already participated in planting over 4,000 trees in Limuru Uplands Forest, Gachororo Primary School,  Kalimoni Primary School, St. Paul Primary School, K. V School and Muthiga Children’s Home. The club has also conducted a needs assessment for its signature project. Rotary Club of Juja meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm at Maxland Hotel, Juja City Mall.

Rotary Club of Generate is the corporate membership club for Kenya Electricity Generating Company Plc, better known by its acronym KenGen. The company has a market share of 65% of Kenya’s installed electricity capacity of 1,904 megawatts. KenGen is the largest energy producer in East Africa.

Other corporate membership clubs in Rotary District 9212 are Nairobi Connect (Safaricom Plc), Nairobi Celebrate (East African Breweries Plc) and Nairobi Samawati (Stanbic Bank Kenya).
