Rotary Club Of Langata Gift Caravan To Uhola Primary SCHOOL
Uhola Primary School is a publicly owned, mixed school located in Jera Sub-county, Siaya County. Due to the great need of premises in the school, funding was recently received from Uhola Village Foundation, based in Germany, to construct an ECDE wing with two classrooms and one administration office.
With the construction of the ECDE wing that accommodates younger children in nursery school, there is need for play equipment in the playground like a merry go round, swings, slides and painting of the classrooms with educational illustrations. The school also has a library that requires upgrading and equipping with educational material.
Rotary Club of Nairobi- Langata (in partnership with Vitol, Hospitality System Consultants Ltd and Story Moja) supported the school by organizing a gift caravan to the school in on September 7th, 2019 and delivering ECDE play equipment , a fully equipped library, and sanitation towels. The objective of the Rotary funded project worth over Ksh 1 million is to contribute to provision of quality education and increase literacy levels in the community, support early child development and to reduce poverty levels and promote sustainable development through education.
