RC Malindi Charters Two Interact Clubs, Increasing Its Sponsorship Tally to 19

The Rotary Club of Malindi marked a significant milestone with the official chartering of Interact Clubs at Kakoneni Girls and Madunguni Junior Secondary School. With these additions, the Rotary Club of Malindi now supports a total of 19 Interact Clubs across Kilifi County, further strengthening its commitment to youth empowerment and community service.

The event, held on February 11, welcomed 120 students into the global network of young leaders dedicated to “Service Above Self.” Kakoneni Girls’ Interact Club now has 65 members, while Madunguni Junior Secondary boasts of 55 Interactors.

These clubs will provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, engage in community service, and uphold Rotary’s core values of service, integrity, and fellowship.
The charter certificates were presented by Rotary Club of Malindi Immediate Past President Eric Mwashigadi and the Interact Chair of the Rotary Club of Malindi, otarian. Owade. Present also was the Rotaract Club of Malindi President, Rotractor Patience.

Both Rotarians emphasized the importance of youth involvement in community service and the transformative impact these clubs will have on shaping future leaders. During the event, all newly inducted Interactors received Interact pins as a symbol of their commitment to Rotary’s mission. Additionally, the respective Club Presidents were honored with Interact Presidential Chains, signifying their leadership roles within their clubs.

This milestone highlights the Rotary Club of Malindi’s dedication to mentoring young leaders and fostering a new generation of changemakers committed to making a difference in their communities.
