R.C. NAIROBI THIKA ROAD SPONSORS 3 ROTARACTORS TO D9212 RYLA 2019 CONNECTS
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts.Young people can develop leadership skills while having fun and making connections.
RYLA participants are able to build their communication skills, learn creative problem-solving, and are challenged to change, not only themselves, but their communities.
The Rotary Club of Nairobi Thika Road through the New Generations committee, organised a day for shortlisted Rotaractors. They were invited to share their thoughts on RYLA and how it would help them better their service in Rotary and in their day to day activities. The participant gave very vibrant experiences of previous trainings and how it empowered their personal growth which was significant in their service to Communities around them and Rotary. The others who will be attending for the first time, were eager to attend and learn the different skills hey felt would compliment their already existing strengths.
By the end of the evening the club sponsored 3 Rotaractors to attend the RI D9212 RYLA Connects to be held on 26th – 29th September in Kakamega Forest.
We believe that the 3 nominees (Nancy Ikoli – Rotaract Club of Thika, Ndungu Migwi – Rotaract Ckub of Nairobi Muthaiga North and James Kavoo – Rotaract Club of Thika TTI), will benefit both personally and professionally from their participation in RYLA and will also continue to enhance our Rotary and Rotaract relationship as Partners in Service.
Congratulations to the 3 Rotaractors.
We were glad to be able to sponsor the three rotaractors to attend RYLA
this is amazing to be able to provide an opportunity for Rotaractors to gain knowledge, skills and networks that help them personally and professionally.
I trust that it will be a worthwhile experience for them.
Well done RC Nairobi Thika Road for supporting the young generation.
