County Commissioner Joins Rotary

The Kajiado County Commissioner is the latest addition to the Rotary Club of Ngong Hills (RCNH) honorary membership.
“I have always wanted to join a Rotary or Lions Club before I retire from public service. Today I have the honor of joining the Rotary Club of Ngong Hills. I serve the communities wherever I am and I would like to get involved in what the club does,’ said Joshua Nkanatha, the Kajiado County Commissioner. Nkanatha through the Kajiado North Deputy County Commissioner’s Office,has been instrumental in supporting RCNH’s activities.”
‘We have received unwavering support from your officers whenever we’ve sought their assistance. The Deputy County Commissioner’s Office has supported our tree-growing campaign through the Kazi kwa vijana program. The Kajiado North Assistant County Commissioner’s office has partnered with us and supported our peace campaign. We look forward to your continued support,’ said Anthony Wafula, president, Rotary Club of Ngong Hills.
The County Commissioner joins Hon Keriako Tobiko, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forestry as an honorary member to the club. Honorary membership is used to recognize people who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service and embody Rotary ideals, or those considered friends of Rotary for their support of Rotary’s causes.
‘The Rotary pin that you’ve received today is a mark of your membership in Rotary. It allows you access to the 35,000 Rotary clubs worldwide. However, you will be required to uphold the Rotary Values and principles as espoused in the Rotary 4-Way test and the Objects of Rotary,‘ said President Anthony Wafula.
Commissioner Nkanatha promised to abide by and uphold Rotary values and principles and looks forward to participating in Rotary activities whenever called upon.
