RI President Inducts 200 members for District 9212
The Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta last evening inducted about 200 new Rotary members during a Mega Fellowship event hosted by District Governor Alex Nyaga. This brings the total number of Rotary members in the District closer to the target of 4,000 members by the end of the year.
The mew members included 163 new Rotarians and Rotaractors as well as the charter of a new club; The Rotary Club of Kericho with 29 members. The hybrid event that was held physically at the Gem Suites in Nairobi saw over 1,500 people attend the ceremony virtually.
The 107 new members of Rotary and 56 members of Rotaract were inducted in a hybrid ceremony officiated by Rotary International President, Shekhar Mehta who is in Nairobi, Kenya as part of his global tour.
