Building on a Strong Start

“When spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion.” – Ethiopian Proverb

Rotarians of District 9212, July has been nothing short of spectacular! We launched our centenary celebrations with a bang, and the momentum is only building. Our centenary maternal and child health project, “Revamping Pumwani,” is off to a great start, raising much-needed funds for Kenya’s largest maternity and referral hospital. This project is a testament to our commitment to making lasting change where it matters most. Check out lined up centenary activities here: https://timeline.rotary9212.org/rotary-district-9212-lines-up-more-than-a-dozen-projects-for-centenary-year/

Equally exciting has been the rollout of our “100 Days of Rotary Stories” digital campaign. In just 30 days, we’ve successfully featured nearly 40 stories of impactful community service projects from clubs across our district. This is a first for us, and it’s proving to be an incredible journey, allowing us to connect with all 144 clubs within our district in just 100 days. The stories we’ve shared are not just stories—they are the heartbeat of Rotary’s people in action.

As we step into August, Rotary’s Membership and New Club Development Month, it’s time to focus on growing our family. This is the perfect opportunity to get more involved, whether by bringing in new members, starting a new club, or simply deepening your engagement with Rotary. The strength of our district lies in its people, and together, we can make our centenary year one for the history books.

In this issue, you’ll find insights on how to get more involved in your club, messages from our leaders, and a look back at the projects that kicked off this remarkable year- Read about how here: https://timeline.rotary9212.org/enriching-your-rotary-membership/. Let’s keep the momentum going—because when we unite, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.
