In a unique twist to introducing the Board, the Incoming Board of Directors recorded a video performance to Wambura Mitaru’s song Shoulder Brother ushering in the Club theme: Unlimited Fun in Service. Those unable to attend followed the proceedings online via Zoom, Facebook and YouTube. Due to the Kenya Government restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the attendees observed the infection prevention and control measures including wearing masks and using sanitizers.
In her moving speech, President Sarah expressed her commitment to enhance the quality of membership while ensuring that members enjoyed serving as Rotarians.
“My commitment to the club is on four fronts. Firstly, for us to stand tall, my incoming Board and I will ensure that we enjoy our membership and own our sense of pride as RCL. I understand donor fatigue and so we are churning ways forward for a more sustainable model of engaging in projects,” said President Sarah.
