Rotary Club of Mombasa Downtown On Track to Meet Membership TARGET

Rays of optimism lit up the dark tunnel as RC Mombasa Downtown inducted two new members on the last night of the rotary membership month in a colorful event graced by rotary coast leaders. After an intense month campaign of attracting and vetting potential members the club had a reason to smile when two qualified.

The new members Florence and Gerrard have Logistics and Audit backgrounds respectively. The two additions make the club membership 15 having been guests of the club for months participating in club community activities and attending meetings. They both shared their notions of getting satisfaction from serving and more so serving the community in a structured way. The four way test was also a great attraction to the new members since the doctrines could be applied at home and market place.

Speaking after inducting the two, AG Sureya Hersi challenged RC Downtown and all coast based clubs to elevate their game in attracting more members to ensure there more people willing to serve the community in the region that has so many needy people. “Inducting two members at ago for a young club is not bad, however you can do more and meet your 2019/2020 membership target” added AG Sureya.

The Club President Mr. Hassan Mbondo was optimistic the club will hit its membership goal target by the end of his tenure with the support from his directors. In addition, Nabil asked clubs to put the same energy of attracting members royalty and retention.
