How To Make Science Fun and Exciting For KIDS

On Saturday 14th September 2019, The Rotary Club of Lavington Jioni (RCLJ) partnered with BASF and the German School to give Cheryl’s Children Home an opportunity to have fun with Science.

The club has supported Cheryl”s Home for the last one year and has built an excellent relationship with the home as it provides support in the form of food, time with the children and funding. With September being the basic literacy and education month for Rotarians worldwide, RCLJ joined hands with BASF, a German chemical company and German School to have a science fair. The fair exposed the children of Cheryl’s to a fun yet educational experience with the hope of peaking their interest to pursue science based careers.

The fair involved learning basic science and doing fun experiments. Interaction between children from German school and those from Cheryl’s provided a unique and diverse learning experience. After the fair, the children shared a sumptuous lunch.
